****Java The Bub 2002****

MLC hits the road for our new tour "Java The Bub 2002".

January 18th, Nick & Gino's Downtown Cafe', Bristol Connecticut :

March 15th, Mike's Penalty Box, Coventry Connecticut :

March 22nd, Cargo's Cafe, Windsor Connecticut :

Plagued by bitter cold temperatures and the UCONN Husky playoffs, a small crowd turned out to check out Cargo's for the first time. Very nice stage and dance floor, nice folks (those that came out on such a cold night), and a good atmosphere.

April 15th, Mike's Penalty Box, Coventry Connecticut :

April 20th, Cafe' Nine, New Haven Connecticut :

Our first performance in the city of New Haven and the audience treated us like we were home. Due to some personal issues, Gary Z. had the night off so we had a guest drummer for the evening, John, former drummer for Rich and Gary's old band - Wishful Thinkin'. Everyone danced, sang along, and had a great time overall.

May 4th, Nick & Gino's Downtown Cafe', Bristol Connecticut :

MLC hits downtown Bristol.

May 17th, Carilli's Cafe', Marlborough Connecticut :

June 1st, Band Exposure 2002, Willington Connecticut :

Nothing like kicking off the summer with a backyard bar-b-q and 10 of your favorite bands including Patty Tuit and MidLifeCrisis. Great weather prevailed and the party went on, well into the evening hours.

June 8th, Carilli's Cafe', Marlborough Connecticut :

This time we are the opening act (which doesn't happen very often) for the Mike Tyson fight. Mack McGuillivray (from UCONN radio) is on hand as our "master of ceremonies" and our special guest drummer, Aaron Steel, makes his debut live performance with the group, playing the Roy Orbison tune, Pretty Woman. Of course, we all knew that Tyson was going to lose the fight.

June 9th, The Andrea Resort, Misquamicut Rhode Island :

Another bright, sunny day with a light breeze. We set up on the deck outside the hotel facing Long Island Sound. A light breeze made sure that the 48" beach balls we unleashed on the crowd stayed in the air for several minutes before coming back down again. Special guest Aaron Steel made his second live appearance with the group for the song, Pretty Woman. Many of our loyal fans made the trip from Connecticut to spend a day at the beach.

May 4th, Nick & Gino's Downtown Cafe', Bristol Connecticut :

Nick's has now become our home away from home. The people there are very friendly and enyoy our music. The central location is in good travel distance for many of our friends and fans. Most importantly, the drink prices are affordable. On this occasion special guests Ken Sylvain & Family Jewels do a brief set while we are on break. This is their first live appearance and are very well received by the crowd.

August 17th, Real Aid II, Manchester Connecticut :

Donna and the gang from the Connecticut Realtor's Association gathered once again in Manchester to have a day of fun and sun. A great time was had by all as MLC performed some great music. Unfortunately, due to a prior commitment, Rich could not attend but special guests Jerry (Alice) Bourgess, and Michael Brault kept the crowd entertained in Rich's absence.

September 8th, The Farmington Club, Farmington Connecticut :

"Spare no expense was the battle cry of the day. This was, by far, the most extravagant party I have ever been a part of or gone to in my life. After passing on the opportunity to hire KC and the Sunshine Band and Lynard Skynard, our employer called us up and gave us the nod. Our opening act for this event was an incredible calypso band. There were clowns, jugglers, characture artists, magicians, world class cuisine including shrimp the size of lobsters, access to the olympic size pool, and fireworks that world rival a 4th of July celebration. All for our employers wife's 40th birthday. Totally awesome.

September 14th, Italian-American Friendship Club, Tolland Connecticut :

A great crowd of folks stuck around for the entire evening and danced to every song we could throw at them. Nothing really out of the ordinary occurred. Just your typical evening of good food and great entertainment.

September 22nd, Benefit Show, Nevers Road Park :

On a more serious note, this day, we donated our time and energies to help raise money for a friend facing some serious medical bills. Friends and family ate, drank, danced and joined forces to help relieve the financial strain for this individual.

September 28th, PIGSTOCK 2002, Warren Connecticut :

Joe Paul's 9th annual end of summer bash was a great time for everyone that attended. Live entertainment by Poco Moonshine, Ken Sylvain & Family Jewels, and of course, MidLifeCrisis with special guests Aaron Steel playing drums on Pretty Woman, Kim Steel singing her version of White Rabbit and Jerry Bourgess (Connecticut's Alice Cooper) playing lead guitar and singing Eighteen, Be My Lover, and Ballad of Dwight Frye. Beautiful fall weather came through in the nick of time as we were barely missed by hurricane Isadore. Rumor has it that Joe Bouchard (former Blue Oyster Cult guitarist) was on hand to play guitar by the campfire after the stage show came to an end. Joe is currently on tour in Europe with Dennis Dunnaway and Neal Smith (former bassist and drummer for the original Alice Cooper Band). Their new group is called BDS and have just released a new album titled Back From Hell. All three are local residents around this neck of the woods. We were honored.

October 12th, Midnight Sun Cafe', Torrington Connecticut :

The Midnight Sun is located in the middle of downtown Torrington, diagonally across the intersection from the historic Warner Theater. This is a bar that really knows how to party. We felt right at home performing in front of an audience that was on the dance floor from the very first set. As usual, Rich and Lee dove into the PROPS trunk to pull off some of their historic on-stage antics. Rich showed off his excellent tambourine skills and another stellar performance of White Rabbit was delivered by the ever more popular, Kim Steel.

October 26th, Brian & Gail Cirillo's Halloween Party, Seymour Connecticut :

Summer is over and the temps are falling fast. The weather is cold and damp but that didn't stop over a hundred of Brian and Gail Cirillo's friends from showing up for their Halloween costume party. The venue was a Knights of Columbus hall located above an old movie theater. All the usual suspects were on hand to party and dance the night away. Some memorable costumes were: Gail and Brian dressed as Vikings, Joe Paul as the blue wizard, Rich as Poncho Villa, Gary dressed as John Bonnham (dead drummer), Warren dressed as a gorilla in a suit, and Lee dressed as Sharon dressed as a cat, complete with mini skirt and fishnets. Everyone danced and seemed to have a great time. We even made a few new friends. Hope we see them at some of the upcoming shows.
